Canadian officials have identified the man responsible for a mass shooting in Toronto as Faisal Hussain.
The 29-year-old Toronto resident is suspected of firing a handgun into restaurants and cafes in the city’s Greektown district on Sunday night local time, killing two people and injuring 13.
Those killed were a 10-year-old girl and student Reese Fallon, 18.
Ms Fallon had recently graduated high school and was volunteering for Canada’s Liberal party before starting university, where she was to train as a nurse.
Local politician Nathaniel
Erskine-Smith said her family was “devastated” and had described her as being “smart, passionate and full of energy”.
The thirteen people injured – seven males and six females – remain in hospital.
